From the street, flavour at Hon Fat.

From a street stall to three neighbourhood shopfronts, the work remains in the daily details of preparation, heat and a meal.

A shop on the street

A noodle house, making Hong Kong's everyday meals with care.

From a street stall in Sham Shui Po to three shops today, Hon Fat focuses on noodle preparation and everyday dining services, preparing a generous, dependable everyday meal for anyone seeking a hot bowl of noodles and a comfortable place to sit.

The daily work of a noodle house lies in the repeated work seen and unseen each day. From thick-cut pork liver noodles onward, we pay attention to a clear, sweet broth, fresh ingredients, precise heat and the order in which every bowl reaches the table. We believe that doing preparation and daily processes properly is what makes a meal worth remembering.

1973 A Shek Kip Mei street-stall beginning

Record · 01

A Shek Kip Mei street-stall beginning

Hon Fat began at a dai pai dong on the streets of Shek Kip Mei. At the time, a meal was direct and substantial: a hot bowl of soup and noodles for people moving between work and daily life. The steam in the street, the warmth of the stove and the rolling boil of the soup pot formed Hon Fat's earliest everyday scenes.

From a street-side dai pai dong to a Sham Shui Po shopfront, the change created a place to sit down for a meal. The setting changed, while preparation, serving and greeting diners remained clear and direct. Handwritten menus, kitchen steam and everyday conversation became part of the shop's working scene.

Looking ahead

Familiar flavours, part of everyday life.

A hot bowl of noodles, keeping familiar everyday flavours for the neighbourhood.

Hon Fat focuses on noodle preparation and everyday dining services. As shop environments and operating methods evolve, we handle ingredients, preparation and cooking through established processes, providing meals for customers in store.

Making a bowl of noodles involves broth preparation, ingredient handling and serving arrangements. The shop offers a range of noodle dishes and handles broth, pork liver, beef and other ingredients according to daily operational arrangements, aiming to maintain consistent preparation processes.

Looking ahead, Hon Fat will continue to review ingredient handling, preparation and service processes, and provide dine-in and takeaway food services in line with store operations.

Customers are welcome to dine in during business hours or consult official channels for the latest menu, opening hours and service arrangements.
